Forestbound was started by Alice Saunders in 2007 and is a small operation based out of Fringe Union in Somerville, Massachusetts. All the operations - the designing, cutting, sewing, shipping - takes place under one roof, in the studio. The inspiration for the canvas utility bags came from flea markets and estate sales, and all the well-loved, vintage canvas tool bags she and her team discovered throughout the years.
